About me

Hi, I'm Gabriel Shabo,
CRO & UX/UI specialist

I have been immersed in digital design since 2014. Since 2020 I have been building e-commerce systems in Shopify and WordPress, along with the UX/UI concepts that convert inside them.

My approach is hypothesis-driven. Quantitative data and qualitative signals turn into prioritised test hypotheses. Whatever the test confirms becomes the standard. No redesigns from gut feeling.

B.A. Information Management & Corporate Communication. Consumer psychology belongs to the analysis as much as the numbers do — why someone buys comes before any hypothesis.

What I do

Four areas
I work in

Analysis, experiment and delivery. Connected, not siloed.

CRO & A/B testing

From hypothesis to validated uplift. Analytics, heatmaps and session recordings show where visitors drop off — the test decides what happens next.

UX/UI design

Interfaces that give orientation instead of decoration. From wireframe to prototype to a UI system that survives contact with the store.

E-commerce

Scaling and optimising Shopify and WordPress stores — storefront, product page, checkout and the automation behind them.

Brand strategy

Brand identities, consistent across every touchpoint — from positioning to the design assets that actually get used day to day.

How I work

How data turns into decisions

Read the data

Bring analytics, heatmaps and session recordings together. Establish where visitors drop off before changing anything.

Prioritise hypotheses

Every hypothesis is rated by impact, confidence and effort. Whatever ranks highest goes into the test first.

Test

Set up the A/B test, run it until the result holds, analyse it. The data decides, not the loudest opinion in the room.

Standardise

Whatever the test confirms becomes the standard and feeds into the next round.

FAQ

Answers to the questions
that come up most often

Both. I'm open to a permanent role in CRO/UX and take on freelance projects alongside it. Drop me a line about what you need — usually answered within 24 hours.

Four steps, always in the same order: read the data, prioritise hypotheses, test, standardise. Establish where visitors drop off before changing anything.

Every hypothesis is rated by impact, confidence and effort. Whatever ranks highest goes into the test first — not the loudest opinion in the room.

Shopify and WordPress/WooCommerce including theme development, plus Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, heatmaps, session recordings and A/B testing tools. Design happens in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.

Both, and deliberately together. Analysis without delivery stays a report; design without data stays a matter of taste. I deliver wireframes, UI systems and the finished implementation in the store.

That is a result too. A test that disproves a hypothesis prevents an expensive redesign built on gut feeling. Whatever the test confirms becomes the standard and feeds into the next round.
